Our story
A church for people who are still figuring it out.
Ascent Church exists to help people find and follow Jesus — together, honestly, and for the long haul.
How we got here.
Ascent Church started in 2019 with a handful of families meeting in Woodward. We had no building, no budget, and no idea what we were doing — just a conviction that the church should be a place where real people could wrestle with real questions about faith.
Over the years, that small group grew into a community. We've moved locations, launched new ministries, and watched hundreds of people take their first steps toward Jesus. Through all of it, the heartbeat has stayed the same: grace-filled, honest, and rooted in Scripture.
Today, Ascent is home to families, singles, students, and seniors from all walks of life. We're not a perfect church — we're a church full of people who are grateful for grace and serious about growing.
What drives us.
Scripture-rooted
Every decision, every sermon, every ministry is anchored in the Bible. We don't drift from it to be trendy.
Grace-saturated
We lead with grace — for the skeptic, the struggler, and the longtime believer who still has hard days.
Community-driven
Faith was never meant to be solo. We build real relationships, not just Sunday attendance.
Mission-focused
We exist for more than ourselves. Locally and globally, we're on mission to see lives changed by the gospel.
What we believe.
We hold to the historic Christian faith — the kind that's been tested by centuries and still stands. Here's the short version.
The Bible
We believe the Bible is the inspired, authoritative Word of God — our ultimate guide for faith and life.
God
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Jesus
We believe Jesus is fully God and fully human — that he died for our sins, rose from the dead, and is coming again.
Salvation
We believe salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. It cannot be earned.
The Church
We believe the local church is God's primary plan for the world — a community of believers on mission together.
Eternity
We believe in the resurrection of the dead and eternal life — heaven for those who trust Christ, and a real and sobering alternative for those who don't.

Lead Pastor
Pastor Blake Farley
Blake has been leading Ascent since 2019. He's a husband, dad of two, and an avid reader who believes the best sermons come from honest wrestling with Scripture and real life.
Before Ascent, Blake served in churches in Shattuck, Gage and Moore, Oklahoma. He is passionate about making the Bible accessible to everyday people.
